So I am officially on my own and without a day job for the first time since I was 16 years old. I have been working on building a portfolio and trying to teach myself art skills. These 7 years have been an interesting ride but I believe with all my heart that it has lead me to this space. I kind of feel like this painting Horizon. I feel like I am on the outside with the trees and about to walk into the light. I don’t know what is on the other side and I’m a little nervous to walk through, but I have to say, I am not scared. (Ps. that’s a lie I’m terrified.)

This painting reminds me of how we cannot always see what is on the other side but just like the light that blocks the sight it gives hope.
